I have a garage floor that i just finished epoxy painting. The finish was extremely dull. Yes uniform in color, but no luster at all. I purchased the Quikrete Premium Clear Epoxy Coating which is a high gloss epoxy finish. The instructions aren't very clear, it addresses applying this to a raw concrete floor (degrease %26amp; etch) and a existing painted floor (scrub w/ a pad, rinse and dry), but not necessarily a newly epoxy floor. Can I just apply after mixing A and B, letting it set and then rolling? I really don't want to tear up the work that i've just completed, yet i want to ensure the clear gloss sticks properly. Thanks expert painters.Would you recommend using Quikrete Premium Clear Epoxy Coating? ?
If your previous layer of paint is securely stuck then just scuff up the finish with about 120 grit sand paper, and I guaranty the clear will stick. Good Luck!
